AI SEO Boost ("we", "our", "us") is a Shopify app that helps merchants optimize their online stores for AI search engines. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

When you install and use AI SEO Boost, we access and store:

• Store information: Your Shopify store domain name
• Theme data: Your store's theme files (Liquid templates) for analysis and generating fixes
• Product and collection data: Product titles, descriptions, and collection information for generating structured data and llms.txt content
• Subscription data: Your billing subscription status

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Customer personal information (names, emails, addresses, payment details)
• Order or transaction data
• Customer browsing behavior
• Any data protected under GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations relating to your customers

How We Use Your Information

• Performing AEO (AI Engine Optimization) audits on your store
• Generating and applying SEO fixes (structured data, meta tags, Open Graph tags)
• Generating llms.txt files for AI crawler guidance
• Managing your subscription and billing

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in encrypted databases hosted on secure infrastructure. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Access tokens are securely stored and only used to communicate with Shopify's API on your behalf.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you have our app installed. When you uninstall the app, we mark your account as inactive. Within 48 hours of uninstallation, Shopify sends us a data deletion request and we permanently delete all data associated with your store.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Anthropic (Claude AI): To generate content improvements and structured data. Store data sent to Claude is not retained by Anthropic for training purposes.
• Shopify: Your store platform. See Shopify's Privacy Policy.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we store about your shop
• Request deletion of your data at any time
• Uninstall the app, which triggers automatic data cleanup
